Privacy policy

This privacy policy describes which personal data is processed in connection with this website. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies and, where relevant, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What this website does

This website presents the company. There is no contact form, no user account, no newsletter and no embedded social-media plugins.

For audience measurement we use Google Analytics 4. The Analytics script is loaded only if you consent.

The typefaces (Barlow, Barlow Condensed, IBM Plex Mono) are served from our server. Opening a page does not send data to Google for the fonts.

The language (German or English) is chosen via the page address (/ or /en). No cookies are set for that.

3. Getting in touch

You can reach us by e-mail, telephone or letter. We process the details you send us in order to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in communication and, where an enquiry aims at a contract, pre-contractual steps.

We keep the data for as long as handling the enquiry and any statutory retention duties require.

4. Cookies and local storage

We store your audience-measurement choice locally in the browser (localStorage) so we do not ask again on every page. That is not measurement.

Tracking cookies are set only by Google Analytics, and only after you consent. Without consent the website works unchanged. You can change the choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

5. Technical operation

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the server, such as IP address, time, requested address, referrer and browser identifier. Our own server does not write these data to access logs.

Once the site runs with a hosting provider, that provider may store such access data in server logs where this is required for operation, security and troubleshooting. Retention then follows the provider’s setup.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used: pages viewed, approximate location (country or region), device and browser, referrer and language. There is no advertising and no remarketing through this website.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; the parent company is Google LLC, USA. Google’s information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://business.safety.google/privacy/

Google Analytics is loaded only if you consent. The legal basis is your consent (where the GDPR applies: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

After consent, Google may set cookies, in particular _ga and _ga_*, typically for up to 24 months. We keep event data in Google Analytics for as long as measurement is configured in our account, usually 2 or 14 months.

Transfers to the USA may rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where Google is certified under it. Google states that Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses permanently; they may be used for coarse location and then truncated or deleted.

You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookies” in the footer. Analytics cookies already set remain until they expire, unless you delete them yourself.

7. Typefaces

Barlow, Barlow Condensed and IBM Plex Mono are served from this server. There is no request to Google Fonts and no transfer of browser data to Google just because of the type.

8. Map link

The address link opens Google Maps only when you click it. No map data is loaded before that click.

9. Your rights

Under the FADP you have in particular the right to access, rectify, delete or restrict processing and to receive your data. Where the GDPR applies, its rights apply as well, including withdrawal of consent, objection and data portability.
